Micro Mobility Systems of Switzerland launches its leading Swiss toy brand, the Micro Scooter - marking the brand’s entry into the Indian market. Its creators, Micro Mobility Systems of Switzerland, enter the market with their worldwide phenomenon the MINI Micro Scooter, just a starter in the extensive range to be available soon.
Mumbai-based distributor, PerCo Distribution India (PVT) Ltd will be launching them in the Indian market in an exclusive pan-India distribution agreement.
It will initially be available in two colours: pink and blue.
Indian kids will now have available to them the ‘toy of choice’ and preferred means of transportation for millions of kids globally including the World A-lists’ offspring.
This hip ‘toy of choice’ for children all over the world is from the trendy scooter ‘superbrand’ which is now loved by the children of such style-conscious celebrities as Sarah Jessica Parker (son: James Wilke), Kate Hudson, Victoria and David Beckham (son: Cruz), supermodel Claudia Schiffer (daughter: Clementine) and Stella McCartney, all of which are shown on the popular Micro-Scooter India Facebook page.
The scooter which helps safely develop agility and balance from an early age makes its debut in India having built a huge global following. The funky looks, backed up by the Swiss design and durability has made this the Rolls-Royce of Scooters, which is squarely aimed at the discerning parent who only wants the very best for their children.
The perfect first scooter for toddlers and younger children, it is suitable for children aged two to six years and also comes with a range of fun separately sold accessories like bottle holders and bags to clip on the front. The unique design of the MINI Micro Scooter with its ingenious patented ‘lean and steer mechanism’, three wheels and back break was developed by a team of Swiss medical experts. The design encourages children to use their bodyweight to manoeuvre their scooter, and is a fun and safe way to develop balance, coordination and essential motor skills.
Speaking of the launch, Mr. Wym Ouboter from Micro Mobility Systems says, “Increasing lifestyle pressure in developing countries like India is leaving very little time for people to pay attention to their health and leisure. This is where our Micro Scooters step in. We have already become a ‘must-have’ worldwide and we are excited to start supplying in India after so many requests. We understand that modern Indian parents demand the best for their children and we are already experiencing a huge demand for our scooters.”
CEO of PerCo Distribution Ltd., Sophie Perhar, adds, “We feel that now is absolutely the right time to be launching in India with the Mini Micro Scooter – a perfect gift for young kids. We have set up operations in India to provide the latest products for kids that will mean Indian parents no longer have to glance enviously overseas at what is available for children. Our ethos is that Indian children deserve the very best, just the same as all children over the world, and they deserve this now not when the family goes overseas or a relative brings the gift back over for them.
There is no question of the products being yesterday’s news and the focus is always on quality and providing choice to the discerning parent. Sophie Perhar, who is a Mother of 3 children and recently relocated full time from London, added “I will only introduce products that I truly believe in and that I would encourage my children to use”. The focus is on getting away from the cheap gimmicky toys that are flooding the world market and we give a 12 months warranty. With the rise of issues such as health and obesity among urban children in India, it is important to encourage kids to participate in sports and play. We want Micro Scooters to play a part in encouraging kids to play outdoors in a fun and safe way. One of the integral parts of our launch strategy was to also find the right retailers who fit the brand perfectly.”
The MINI Micro Scooter comes garlanded with awards including the title of ‘Toy of the Year’ and the prestigious Gold Award at the NATLL Good Toy Awards.
