India’s largest passenger carrying airlines, IndiGo airline on Friday said that the grounding of Airbus A-320 NEO planes so far did not cause any financial impact.

The airbus was grounded following the issues with the Pratt and Whitney engines fitted on them.

Two incidents involving A320 NEO planes flown by IndiGo – owned by InterGlobe Aviation and GoAir were under investigation, according to the aviation regulator.

The choice of engine for a pending order of 250 A-320 NEO planes are being considered by the airline company, according to the chief financial officer Rohit Philip.

At present, the model accounts for only a small part of the GoAir and IndiGo fleets. The number may rapidly increase with IndiGo having 400 of the jets on order and GoAir set to add more than 100.
