Shankara Buildpro Ltd Company Summary

Shankara Buildpro Limited was incorporated as Shankara Buildpro Private Limited on October 13, 2023, as a wholly owned subsidiary of SBPL, in the state of Karnataka. Further, pursuant to conversion of Company from private company into public company, the name of the Company was changed to Shankara Buildpro Limited vide Certificate of Incorporation dated November 30, 2023. The Company was incorporated with the primary focus on engaging in retailing, trading, warehousing, wholesale distribution and ecommerce activities related to all building materials.

The Trading Business of erstwhile promoter SBPL got transferred into the Company as a going concern. pursuant to the Scheme of Arrangement for Demerger with effect from April 01, 2024, making it effective from 9th September 2025. Prior to transfer of Trading Business from SBPL to Company, the Company had not commenced revenue-generating operations and did not have any income from operations.

The business activities of Company commenced only after the Scheme became effective. In terms of consideration, 2,42,49,326 Equity Shares of face value of Rs 10 each have been allotted by the Company pursuant to the Scheme of Arrangement. Company is primarily engaged in providing an organized seller of home improvement and building products (such as construction material, steel pipes and sanitary wares etc.) in India, operating under brand name Shankara Buildpro.

The Trading Business operates 134 fulfillment centers which includes our 94 retail stores, 36 warehouses and 4 offices spread across all of South India including Goa and Puducherry. It also has robust operations in Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat and Odisha. It has an active online presence and has its own portal www.buildpro.store.
