  • Strides Pharma Science on Monday announced the successful completion of the EU GMP inspection carried out by the National Institute of Pharmacy and Nutrition (OGYÉI), Hungry at its Puducherry facility.

SJVN Q4 net profit up 55.3% at Rs619.92cr; stock ends higher

  • SJVN Ltd reported net profits in the Mar-21 quarter up 55.29% at Rs619.92cr largely on a sharp improvement in other income from the surcharge and also lower finance charges. The profit growth would actually have been much higher but the company had a tax credit in the Mar-20 quarter which subdued the profit growth on a yoy basis.
  • The shares ended at Rs28.85 up by Rs0.15 or 0.52% from their previous closing of Rs28.70 on the BSE. The scrip opened at Rs29.20 and touched a high and low of Rs29.40 and Rs28.70 respectively.
  • The company’s posted a 54.17% higher consolidated revenues for the Mar-21 quarter at Rs1,084.96cr. On a sequential basis, net sales revenues were up 103.34% compared to total revenues in the Dec-20 quarter at Rs533.57cr. Read more

  • Power Mech Projects has been awarded a Mine Development & Operation (MOO) project from Central Coalfields Limited (CCL), a subsidiary of Coal India aggregating to Rs9,294cr  over the contract period.
  • According to the regulatory filing, the MOO contract will primarily comprise of mine infrastructure development, removal of overburden and extraction of Coking Coal, processing, crushing and transportation of coal up to washery of CCL, carrying out R&R activities and any other activities incidental to mining as per the project document at Kotre Basantpur Pachmo OCP located in Ramgarh and Bokaro Districts, Jharkhand.   • Repco Home Finance Ltd reported 3.60% lower consolidated revenues for the Mar-21 quarter at Rs333.15cr. On a sequential basis, net sales revenues were down 6.06% compared to total revenues in the Dec-20 quarter at Rs354.63cr.
  • The company’s net profit in the Mar-21 quarter was up 16.28% at Rs65cr. This was largely on the back of yoy EBITDA growth that was driven by lower interest costs and also lower impairment and bad debt costs in the Mar-21 quarter. The company also gained in the quarter from a higher level of other income and cost controls implemented.
  • The stock ended at Rs376 up by Rs7.9 or 2.15% from its previous closing of Rs368.10 on the BSE. The scrip opened at Rs372 and has touched a high and low of Rs380 and Rs370.65 respectively. Read more

FinMin releases public debt management report for Q4, Gsec rises multifold to Rs3,20,349cr

  • The Finance Ministry has announced public debt management report for the quarter between January - March 2021. Since April-June (Q1) 2010-11, Public Debt Management Cell (PDMC), Budget Division, Department of Economic Affairs, Ministry of Finance, has been bringing out a quarterly report on debt management regularly.
  • According to the ministry data, in Q4FY21, the Central Government issued dated securities worth Rs 3,20,349 crore as against Rs 76,000 crore in Q4 of FY20, while repayment was at Rs 29,145 crore. The weighted average yield of primary issuances increased to 5.80 per cent in Q4 FY21 from 5.68 per cent in Q3 of FY21. The weighted average maturity of new issuances of dated securities was lower at 13.36 years in Q4 of FY21 as compared to 14.96 years in Q3 of FY21. Read more

  • Shree Renuka Sugars has received board of directors approval to further expand capacity for ethanol production from 970 KLPD to 1400 KLPD. The investment required for expansion would be Rs450cr.
  • Shree Renuka Sugars said in its regulatory filing that the Government of India has mandated 20% ethanol blending in fuel by 2025 against a current blending of 7.79%. Considering this, the Company sees a huge untapped demand for ethanol for the ethanol blending program of the Government of India which can be of benefit to the Company in the future.

  • Global pharma major Lupin announced the launch of Emtricitabine and Tenofovir Disoproxil Fumarate Tablets 200 mg/300 mg, having received approval from the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
  • In the regulatory filing, Emtricitabine and Tenofovir Disoproxil Fumarate Tablets 200 mg/300 mg, are the generic equivalent of Truvada Tablets 200 mg/300 mg, of Gilead Sciences, Inc., and indicated in combination with other antiretroviral agents for the treatment of HIV-1 infection.

  • Domestic markets witnessed a negative day of trade as a marginal hint of profit booking was seen during the second half of the trade. Bank Nifty index marginally outperformed the Nifty index by ~0.3% with both the indices closing on a flat note.

  • Nifty Auto traded flat as the markets traded lower on Monday. The Index saw steady performance throughout after a gap-up start and touched a high of 10,746.10 and low of 10,676.90 during intraday trade on Monday.
  • At around 2.45 pm, Nifty Auto was trading at 10,705.95 down 0.85 points or 0.01%.

  • State-owned NTPC has become the first energy company in the energy domain in India to declare its Energy Compact goals as part of UN High-level Dialogue on Energy (HLDE). The company has set a target to install 60 GW of renewable energy capacity by 2032.

RITES bags orders of nearly Rs750cr from Railways

  • Shares of RITES Ltd soared over 2.6% in the afternoon session as the company has secured two major orders worth Rs749.7cr from the Ministry of Railways.
  • “Further to our intimation dated 15" June 2021 about the lowest bid for a tender called by Railway Board, Ministry of Railways for railway electrification work on turnkey basis,” the company said in the filing.
  • The company has won the Mysore — Hassan — Mangalore incl. Hassan — arsikere with the cost of the project is Rs461.23cr (incl fee) and also another project is on Lumding — Badarpur at Rs288.44cr (incl fee), it added. Read more

HCL Infosystems hit 5% lower circuit after Q4 earnings

  • HCL Infosystems has posted a consolidated net loss of Rs41.84cr in the quarter ending March 2021 (Q4FY21). The loss was attributable to shareholders. The Q4 loss narrowed from Rs70.94cr of a year ago same quarter, however, the loss widened from Rs34.32cr of the previous quarter.
  • Consolidated total income was at Rs122.02cr in Q4FY21 lower from Rs253.67cr of Q4FY20. However, total income jumped from Rs86.34cr of Q3FY21.
  • Raj Sachdeva, Manager of HCL Infosystems Ltd, commenting on the results said, “In FY21, the company continued to focus on debt and loss reduction. The Company took various actions during the year to meet these objectives." Read more
