Building on 19 years of excellence and the success of the three existing campuses in Delhi, Jaipur and Chennai, Pearl Academy of Fashion (PAF) today announced the opening of its new state-of-art campus in Noida.
A recent survey conducted by Nielsen reveals there’s a rising demand for fashion and design studies, boosted by fashion consciousness among Delhi/ NCR youth. While the survey showed a strong trend for fashion and design studies among youth in Noida, Greater Noida, and Ghaziabad, it also highlighted Noida as the preferred location for a new campus in the National Capital Region.
Sharad Mehra, COO, Pearl Academy of Fashion, said, “Fashion and design education is all about exposure to different cultures, sensibilities, ethos and consumers. At PAF, we ensure that both, our faculty and students get this exposure regularly ensuring that their calibre is constantly, consistently and continuously high.
In addition, our courses are designed in consultation with industry experts, making them more relevant to the market while focusing on cognitive and intellectual skills. It’s this industry insight that has led to the introduction of the new courses.”
The institute also announced scholarships to NABA (Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti Milano), Italy, for top students in each UG course for a summer programme, which will cover all expenses such as course fee, lodging, air travel, etc.
Nien Siao, Head, PAF Noida, said, “Our academic decisions are based on the market demand and the convenience and preference of our students. The study conducted by Nielsen clearly placed Noida ahead as the preferred location for fashion and design studies in the NCR. The new courses offered at the Noida campus also showcase the expanding horizons in the fashion and design domain with increased understanding of design and its usage along with increasing job opportunities in the industry. It’s this understanding and in-depth knowledge of the industry, along with our global network of partners, that helps our students in carving successful careers for themselves.”
Beginning predominantly as a residential locality, Noida gradually attracted corporates who set up offices in droves. The area now boasts of swanky malls offering the best retail brands, multi-storeyed structures and upcoming high-tech townships that dot the landscape in all directions. Considering the ease of commuting to Noida for Fashion and Design studies, coupled with the surge in fashion awareness amongst the region’s youth, experts foresee the city turning into the preferred hub for fashion designers, design colleges and fashion studios to set up base in the land that promises to become Destination Next!
