GAIL joins the UN Cop15-supported worldwide awareness campaign

20 Oct 2022 , 09:19 AM

GAIL (India) Limited has joined INTERACTIONS, a global initiative to link Nature, Humans, and Animals by addressing Biodiversity, Climate Change, Environment, and Water Risks.

INTERACTIONS is a collection of 12 short films created by Art for the World (Geneva, Switzerland) with the cooperation of 12 international film-makers under the auspices of the United Nations' COP15 (Conference of the United Nations on Biodiversity) and the World Academy of Art and Science.

Nature Conservation, Climate Change, Ecosystems & Biodiversity, Deforestation, Water Risks, Health, and Animal Rights are all covered in these thematic videos.

These 12 short films also feature an Indian short film by Padmashree Nila Madhab Panda, the famed Indian National Award-Winning Director. It is based on the vagaries of conflict zones between humans and wild animals, and it addresses critical and pressing issues like the conservation of elephant corridors and the preservation of Nature, Biodiversity, and Habitats.

GAIL's most recent collaboration with Art for the World was for an award-winning video on environmental awareness, INTERDEPENDENCE, which World Premiered in Rome and was seen by over 500 million people across continents, including India, between 2019 and 2021.

GAIL has worked tirelessly to raise awareness about climate change, air pollution, and the principles of sustainability in individual and business lifestyles, stated the company in its media filing.
