Premier Energies Ltd. posted robust fourth-quarter numbers for FY25 in which the company reported a 43.9% year-on-year rise in revenue to ₹1,620.8 crore during Q4 FY25 from ₹1,126.5 crore it had recorded during the corresponding period a year ago. The profit after tax (PAT) for the fourth quarter of March jumped 167% to ₹277.8 crore compared to ₹103.9 crore in the corresponding quarter of Q4 FY24.
The earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) also saw a steep 187% growth at ₹528.6 crore, as against ₹184.5 crore in the year-ago period. The company’s EBITDA margin for Q4 FY25 grew substantially to 32.6% from 16.4% in Q4 FY24.
For the entire financial year FY25, Premier Energies said its total revenue was at ₹6,518.7 crore, which is up 107% compared to ₹3,143.7 crore in FY24. The company reported a net profit of ₹937 crore for the whole fiscal, up 307% compared to the previous year, indicating strong bottom-line growth.
The company’s full-year EBITDA margin also increased to 28.8% in FY25 from 15.9% in FY24. The company’s order book remained robust at 5,303MW at FY25-end, aggregating to a value of ₹8,445.6 crore. About 73% of the total order book were solar modules and 27% were solar cells.
The module production site ran with a utilization rate of 75% and the cell factory with 95%. The company’s ambitious plans for capacity expansion by FY28 Writer scaling the capacity to 10 gw and modules to 11 gw, as well as ingots and wafers to 10 gw.
Other targets are 36,000 MT of aluminium frame production, 12 GWh of battery storage cell pack capacity, and 3 GW of inverter manufacturing by FY28. The estimated capex needed to meet the FY28 targets is indicative at ₹1250 crore.
The agreement has been signed for two joint ventures for expansion of the solar wafer business of Premier Energies. The first 50:50 JV is with Nuevosol Energy along with the latter’s own subsidiary Premier-Green Aluminium,Premier is to hold 80% stake while Nuevosol will hold the rest. This JV entity will engage in the production and sale of solar-grade silicon wafers.
The other JV is with Sino-American Silicon (SAS) Products, in which Premiers will have 74% stake while the rest will be with SAS. This JV will also manufacture and sell solar silicon wafers.
