Siemens Ltd. posted a 24.8% quarter-on-quarter (QoQ) fall in standalone net profit at ₹674 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2025, from ₹896 crore in the same quarter last year. The January–March quarter is the second quarter (Q2) of FY2025 for Siemens Ltd., since the company’s financial year is October–September.
Revenue grew 2.5% YoY to ₹3,809 crore during Q2 FY2025 from ₹3,716 crore year ago. EBITDA fell 29.4% YoY to ₹386 crore from ₹547 crore during Q2 FY2024 due to margin compression. The EBITDA margin fell sharply to 10.1% during Q2 FY2025 from 14.7% in the corresponding quarter last year.
On the orders front, new orders grew 44% YoY to ₹5,305 crore in Q2 FY2025 from ₹3,697 crore in Q2 FY2024, reflecting strong demand momentum. Order backlog of Siemens also grew by 7%, backing its revenue visibility in future quarters. Revenue growth continued to be moderate on account of normalization of demand in Digital Industries and cyclical project execution in the Mobility business.
Sunil Mathur, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Siemens Ltd., commented that the growth in order inflow had been led by the Smart Infrastructure and Mobility businesses, with support from constant public Capex investment in infrastructure. But he mentioned that the Digital Industries business still suffered from weakness in private Capex investment, which weighed on short-cycle orders.
