Bata India Limited announced its results for the quarter ended March 2025 and posted disappointing results. The business said that its net profit slipped about 27.70% on a year-on-year basis to ₹46 Crore. In the previous corresponding period, the business posted a net profit of ₹63.60 Crore.
The company also said that its revenue was 1.2% lower than the previous year. Its revenue stood at ₹788.20 Crore versus ₹797.80 Crore in the previous corresponding period.
The company posted an operating EBITDA of ₹53.80 Crore. This was 26.40% y-o-y higher than ₹73.10 Crore in the same quarter of year-ago period.
The business posted an EBITDA margin of 6.83% against 9.16% in the previous corresponding period, up by 200 bps.
The company said that its operating profit of ₹37.41 Crore in Q4FY25, down versus ₹58.26 Crore in the quarter ended March 2024. Despite headwinds faced by the overall market, the company achieved sharp growth for yet another quarter. This growth was fueled by robust performance in its franchise and e-commerce channels.
Bata operates an aggregate of 1,962 company owned company operated (COCO) and franchise stores, continuing its retail expansion, with a focus on expanding the franchise model.
