Driven by the ‘Elite & Premium’ portfolio, Sula Vineyards Ltd. achieved its highest ever ‘own brands’ sales in the second quarter of fiscal 2025.
Despite a little increase, revenue from wine tourism reached an all-time high of Rs 12.2 crore in the second quarter of fiscal 2025, compared to Rs 12.1 crore in the same period the previous year.
Compared to the same period last year, net revenue increased slightly to Rs 141.8 crore from Rs 143.7 crore in the July-September quarter.
Additionally, the business blamed “policy ambiguity in Karnataka” and serious problems with the Delhi Excise Portal during the final fifteen days of the fiscal year 2025’s second quarter.
However, because of a more general downturn in discretionary expenditure at the macroeconomic level, the largest winemaker in the nation generated subdued income in the quarter that ended in September 2024.
The Elite & Premium portfolio experienced growth in the high single digits.
Compared to Rs 126.8 crore during the same period last year, the revenue from its own brands was Rs 127.2 crore for the second quarter. A year before, Elite & Premium’s share was recorded at 74%; during the same period, it rose to 80%.
