Indian equity markets end a day of some volatility on a flat note

Indian equity markets saw a day of some volatility today. They ended the day on a flat note. Nifty 50 closed, down by 8.55 points. Sensex closed, down by 35.68 points. Top Gainers today were Adani Enterprises, Asian Paints and Hindustan Unilever. Top Losers today were Dr Reddy’s, L&T and Hindalco. 

Selling pressure was seen in some large cap stocks. Buying demand was there in some mid-cap and micro-cap stocks. Selling pressure was seen in both pharma stocks and healthcare stocks. Dr Reddy’s stock price fell due to quarter-on-quarter decline in its US revenues. 

Idea, IRFC, and GTL Infra were the most traded stocks, today at NSE, in terms of volume. HDFC Bank, L&T, and ICICI Bank were the most traded stocks, in terms of value. 68 stocks touched new 52-week high, today at NSE. 13 stocks touched new 52-week low.
