India’s automobile major, Maruti Suzuki has reached a milestone of opening its 4500th service touchpoint in the country. The company on Tuesday launched a new service point in the city at NEXA Service, Rampally in Hyderabad.
Recently, the company has launched seven-days-a-week and night service facilities at select workshops, doorstep service facility, specially designed ‘service on wheels’, Maruti mobile support, quick response teams to provide customers with flexibility of availing services as per their convenience.
Executive Director, Service at Maruti Suzuki, Partho Banerjee said on the opening, “The company added a new workshop almost every day of the 2022-23. Many of these were added in the non-urban markets. This year too, we have plans to add about 350 workshops across the country. They will be different sizes and the manpower requirement will be different.”
“Sales happen once but service is a continuous thing. We see the heat maps of the cars in a particular area and then decide on the location to be closer to the customers,” he added
The company is planning to add 350 service workshops in the country this fiscal year, said Banerjee.
As per the company data, around 80,000 people are employed at 4500 service points across India.
