Tata Elxsi’s scrip rose more than 3% to Rs 7,950 in Thursday’s trading session after the company announced a partnership with the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) for the upcoming Gaganyaan Mission.
According to a filing with the stock exchange, Tata Elxsi has developed crew module recovery models (CMRM) to impart training to the recovery team for the space mission.
The Gaganyaan project by ISRO aims to showcase the ability to conduct human spaceflight by launching the crew into a 400-kilometer orbit for a three-day mission and to ensure their safe return by landing in Indian sea waters. A crucial aspect of this project is the prompt and secure retrieval of the crew, with minimal delay.
The crew recovery models (CMRMs) designed and manufactured by Tata Elxsi play a significant role in the training of the recovery team. These CMRMs accurately simulate the mass, center of gravity, outer dimensions, interfaces, and external features of the real crew module, enabling realistic training scenarios for the recovery team.
Currently, company has provided two Recovery-Models (CMRM and GSF) to Naval training teams located in Kochi and Visakhapatnam. These models are intended to facilitate the training of recovery teams.
At around 12.35 PM, Tata Elxsi was trading 1.73% higher at Rs 7,825.90 per piece, against the previous close of Rs 7,693.05 on NSE.
