Of the total shares offered via the IPO, up to 10% would be reserved for LIC policyholders and upto 5%, for LIC employees. Policyholders along with employees will receive a discount on applying for the IPO. However, not all LIC policyholders will be eligible to apply via the Policyholder Reservation Portion.
If you are a policyholder and wish to participate from this quota, here are a few pointers that you must keep in mind:
1. Similar to other investors in the LIC IPO, policyholders need to update their PAN details and maintain a Demat account for subscribing to the issue offer.
2. Only eligible LIC policyholders can apply for the discounted shared in the LIC IPO
So before participating in IPO you must go through the FAQs in the LIC DRHP.
