OYO to give 'Green Tags' to its environment-friendly lodging partners

OYO, a company that specializes in hospitality and travel technology, is now trying to introduce a "green tag" for hotels that are featured on its website.

The "green tag" will be given to lodging establishments that use environmentally friendly practices, such as rainwater collection and the use of solar energy.

"We are looking about creating green-branded hotels, hotels that are eco-friendly in terms of employing solar electricity enhanced efficient lighting, rainwater harvesting, or the likes of it, and for the more eco-friendly consumers," OYO CEO said at a Ficci event.
