Open networks for the exchange of goods and services through digital or electronic networks are promoted by ONDC. Open networks are gaining pace in the continuing pilot program that kicked out on April 29, according to a statement from Goyal's ministry.
Seven businesses have accepted the ONDC standards and created their own functional applications: one buyer-side app, five seller-side apps, and one logistics service provider app. In the grocery and food and beverage categories, the pilot was launched in five cities: Bengaluru, New Delhi, Bhopal, Shillong, and Coimbatore.
The group also covered strategies for quicker deployment of the ONDC platform to more traders, product categories, regions, and businesses.

According to a statement from the trade ministry, "The success gained has inspired significant interest in many new enterprises, and a big number of companies on the buyer, seller, and logistics sides are currently constructing their own applications and are in advanced phases of integration with ONDC."
The ONDC and NABARD are collaborating on a program to introduce the agriculture sector to ONDC, and as a first step, a hackathon is being planned for July 1-3 to develop creative solutions for FPOs, it was revealed at the meeting (Farmer Producer Organizations). According to the Minister, ONDC may prove to be a useful instrument in helping farmers choose the proper rates for their goods.
