ICICI Securities plummets ~6% despite posting growth in Q4FY22

21 Apr 2022 , 03:10 PM

ICICI Securities’ counter sets a bearish tone today as it posted marginal growth during the quarter and fiscal year ended March 2022.

Its consolidated revenue for Q4FY22 jumped 20.7% yoy to Rs892.30 crore against Rs739.34 crore in Q4FY21. Revenue for FY22 was Rs3434.98 crore as compared to Rs2586.17 crore for FY21, up by 32.82% yoy.

Consolidated profit after tax increased by 3.3% from Rs329.47 crore in Q4FY21 to Rs340.29 crore in Q4FY22. PAT for the financial year ended March 2022 increased by 29.49% yoy at Rs1382.60 crore as compared to Rs1,067.72 crore for FY21.

The company’s interest income increased from Rs103.36 crore for Q4FY21 to Rs211.91 crore in Q4FY22, registering a growth of 105% yoy. This was primarily due to increase in average MTF & ESOP funding book and fixed deposits.

Its brokerage income declined from Rs394.51 crore for Q4FY21 to Rs372.89 crore in Q4FY22, a downfall of 5.5% yoy. This was primarily due to a decrease in retail equity volumes.

Income from services increased from Rs235.01 crore for Q4FY21 to Rs287.48 crore in Q4FY22.

ICICI Securities is currently trading at Rs592 down by Rs37.15 or 5.9% from its previous closing of Rs629.15 on the BSE. It has touched intraday high and low of Rs615 and Rs580.35 respectively.
