Jayaswal Neco appoints Suranjan Sinha as Independent Director

Jayaswal Neco Industries Ltd. announces Mr. Suranjan Sinha as its Independent Director w.e.f. January 17, 2022, subject to shareholders’ approval. Shri Suranjan Sinha has been appointed as an Additional and Independent Director of the Company, for a term of one year, to maintain the optimum composition of Executive/Non-Executive and Independent Directors on the Board.

Shri Suranjan Sinha is an Ex-Professor of Mining Engineering at the Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology, Shibpur, Kolkata, West Bengal, and has a professional experience of over 40 years. He holds a master's degree in mining engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (Indian School of Mines), Dhanbad, and has also done a doctorate in Mining Environment.

He also worked as an Assistant Controller of Mines at the Indian Bureau of Mines, Kolkata and as Assistant Manager - Operations at Coal India Limited - Eastern Coalfield Limited.

Jayaswal is the leading manufacturer and supplier of a comprehensive variety of sanitary castings which include Centrifugally Cast Iron Pipe & Fittings, Cast Iron Manhole cover with Frames, Cast iron castings, etc. The company’s products are highly regarded for their excellent finish, long shelf life, and superior quality. The company has a vast clientele, that is spread far and wide.

Jayaswal Neco is currently trading at Rs30.50 up by Rs0.65 or 2.18% from its previous closing of Rs29.85 on the BSE. The scrip opened at Rs31.20 and has touched a intraday high and low of Rs31.20 and Rs29 respectively.
