
On Thursday, Phoenix, a gender-neutral second career programme, was launched by top FMCG giant Marico Ltd to welcome professionals who have taken career breaks. According to a press release from the company, Phoenix is a career transition programme that will provide possibilities to individuals who have taken a minimum one-year career hiatus and are eager to get back into the corporate sector.
The programme values diversity and accepts applicants who may have taken a pause to focus on their health, achieve their goals, or pursue their passions.
Candidates must have a minimum of two years of prior work experience to be eligible for the programme.
Project-based recruiting, in which the candidates are employed as consultants for terms of 6, 9, or 12 months, is one of the essential components of the hiring process. Their performance and availability for the role will determine how they are ultimately absorbed.
Candidates for lateral hiring will be hired straight into lateral roles based on their experience.
