Market ends at record high

On Monday, Nifty surpasses 20,000 mark, Sensex Records 528-point gain; positive performance across all sectors.

In the Sensex group, notable gainers included HCL Technologies, Maruti, State Bank of India, Tata Consultancy Services, Tata Motors, Wipro, Nestle, Reliance Industries, Larsen & Toubro, and UltraTech Cement. On the flip side, IndusInd Bank and Bharti Airtel saw a decline in their stock prices.

Among the top performers in the Nifty index were Adani Ports, Adani Enterprises, Apollo Hospitals, Hindalco Industries, and Power Grid Corporation. Meanwhile, Jio Financial, Coal India, ONGC, Bajaj Finserv, and L&T experienced declines.

In terms of sectors, the PSU Bank index surged by 3%, while the automobile and metals sectors both registered a 2% increase in their stock values.

Furthermore, the BSE midcap and Smallcap indices reached new 52-week highs, achieving gains of 1% and 0.7%, respectively.
