More than 100 companies are set to announce their financial performance for the quarter ending December 2021 (Q3FY22) on Monday. Tata Motors, BPCL, HPCL, Indian Oil Corporation, UPL, Sun Pharmaceutical Industries and DLF are some of the major Q3 earnings to watch out for today.
In Q3FY22, Tata Motors is expected to witness improvement on a sequential basis, however, year-on-year performance remains weakly. The company is likely to log a net loss on both standalone and consolidated basis due to chip shortage issue impacting luxury car brand Jaguar Land Rover business. Also, rising input cost inflation is another pressure point and will impact profitability as price hikes seem inadequate.
Further, Tata Motors is seen to witness a decline in revenue on a consolidated basis year-on-year, however, double-digit growth is expected sequentially and on a standalone basis due to recovery in volumes.
Meanwhile, state-run BPCL is seen to record a stellar quarter with higher crude oil prices and healthy demand supporting both gross refining margins or GRMs as well as volumes for the OMCs. However, lower price hikes in domestic LPG could have some impact on the results. The company’s GRMs are estimated to come in at US$6.5/bbl.
As for Sun Pharma, the company is expected to report steady constant-currency revenue growth on a quarter-on-quarter basis on the back of Winlevi launch, the ramp-up in performance of Ilumya and Cequa that offset the contraction in Absorica post genericisation and base business price erosion. The company’s global specialty segment is likely to grow its revenues 7% over Q2FY22 amid the ramp-up of Ilumya/Cequa and strong initial Rx trends in Winlevi. On a YoY basis, Ilumya’s integrated unit (IU) could post volume growth of ~72% and Cequa’s IU volumes could increase ~30%.
Other companies to announce their Q3 today are – Aarti Drugs, ADF Foods, Ajanta Pharma, LT Foods, Dwarikesh Sugar Industries, Edelweiss Financial Services, Exide Industries, GIC Housing Finance, Housing Development & Infrastructure, Hester Biosciences, Infibeam Avenues, Jindal Saw, KEC International, KPIT Technologies, Krsnaa Diagnostics, Navin Fluorine International, Satin Creditcare Network, Shipping Corporation of India, Suven Life Sciences, UCO Bank, Venus Remedies, and Voltamp Transformers.
