TVS Motor Company to launch Euro-5 two-wheelers in Turkey

14 Dec 2022 , 03:27 PM

TVS Motor Company, a world-renowned manufacturer of two and three-wheelers, intends to launch Euro-5 two-wheelers in Turkey. Customers in Turkey have overwhelmingly embraced TVS Motor Company's products.

TVS Jupiter and TVS Apache RTR 200 4V are the most popular TVS Motors products in Turkey, and they are well-known for their high quality. TVS Motor will expand its presence in Turkey with Euro5-compliant products such as the TVS Jupiter, TVS NTORQ Race Edition, TVS Raider, and TVS Apache RTR 200 4V, said the company in its media release.

In order to protect the environment and ensure the well-being of the Turkish people, the Turkish government has mandated adherence to Euro-5 emission standards. In accordance with the initiative of the Turkish government, TVS Motor Company announced that it has already taken steps to introduce Euro-5-compliant two-wheelers for Turkish customers.

The company is awaiting approval from the European Union/local authorities (homologation/approval of a prototype product). Once the prototype-product approval from the EU/local authorities is obtained, the company will launch Euro5 two-wheelers in Turkey.

The products are currently undergoing testing and regulatory-type approval.

At around 9.53 AM, TVS Motor Company was trading at Rs1,042.30 apiece, up by 0.47% from its previous closing of Rs1,037.45 on the BSE. The scrip opened at Rs1,045 and has touched an intraday high and low of Rs1,048 and Rs1,041.30 respectively.
