Amco India Limited was incorporated in 1987. The foundation of AMCO Group was based on the inception of AMC Coated Fabrics Ltd. in 1981.

The Company started the business by engaging in manufacturing of PVC Leather cloth and aluminum foils through coating process and with large capacities available on two coating lines achieved brand equity in the domestic and to some extent in the international markets.Amco India is a trusted name in foil manufacturing, delivering high-quality aluminum foil solutions that meet the evolving needs of diverse industries. Amco Indias foils are widely used in packaging, pharmaceuticals, food & beverage, insulation, and industrial applications, providing protection against moisture, light, oxygen, and contaminants. PVC Leather cloth unit based in Noida has two calendar lines with complete ancillary equipment along with testing facilities in a modern in-house laboratory to undertake test procedures at the input and output stages of production .The total site area of the plant is 3600 square meter and the installed production capacity is 4800 metric tones per annum.

PVC Films and Sheeting unit based in Baddi has four color gravure printing machine,a laminator (heat and pressure) ,automatic slitters etc. And above all, a new product, Textile Coated Fabric is made with lamination of PVC over it in Noida unit and the same is supplied as an input to Automobile Industry such as Hero Honda for the manufacture of Seat covers.The success of AMC Coated Fabrics Ltd. had prompted the promoter to enhance its product profile and in 1991 two calendar machines were added to introduce PVC Films and Sheeting into the market.

Due to this, Company grew from strength to strength and became leaders in the manufacturing of PVC Films and Sheeting.As success dawned on the project the management used bold and enterprising strategies to reinvent itself. Massive expansions were pursued and in 1996 through foresight, the Company decided to get into manufacturing Aluminum Foil by Cold Rolling Process. This product added impetus to the growth of the Company creating new insights into a product with a bright future thereby enhancing it as leaders in complete range of products of aluminum foil and foil laminates.

In 2023, the Company has been supplying Aluminium foil in the market to big empires for Cigarette Foil Packaging, Milk Powder Packaging and for packaging of medical / surgical equipments.
