ABB India has made the decision to modernize and expand its Smart Power facility in Nelamangala, Bengaluru, in order to fulfil the high demand for its Smart Power solutions and energy management technology.
The smart facility uses advanced collaborative robotics, artificial intelligence (AI), and advanced digitalization technologies to build a sophisticated, automated, and adaptable production that is prepared for the future.
To address the need of the industry for greater reliability and energy savings, the plant manufactures, tests, and supplies the entire line of low voltage power equipment and energy management solutions from ABB Smart Power.
According to a statement from ABB India, it meets the growing need across a variety of industries where electricity is used, including infrastructure, utilities, solar, wind, and commercial and residential structures.
The ABB Smart Power facility, which is more than 8,400 square metres in size, connects devices like robots, motors, and drives to the Internet of Things (IoT).
To increase productivity and efficiency, the linked factory software reveals potential for process improvement and plans predictive maintenance.
According to a statement released by the company, this led to a 40% increase in productivity in the same amount of area while also achieving a 15% energy efficiency.
