Abbott India Ltd stays under sustained pressure

Abbott India Ltd is down for a fifth straight session today. The stock is quoting at Rs 16476.9, down 0.99% on the day as on 13:24 IST on the NSE. The benchmark NIFTY is down around 0.43% on the day, quoting at 17171.2. The Sensex is at 57481.11, down 0.35%.Abbott India Ltd has lost around 5.2% in last one month.Meanwhile, Nifty Pharma index of which Abbott India Ltd is a constituent, has increased around 6.34% in last one month and is currently quoting at 13569.65, up 1.09% on the day. The volume in the stock stood at 6238 shares today, compared to the daily average of 19345 shares in last one month.

The benchmark March futures contract for the stock is quoting at Rs 16525, down 0.71% on the day. Abbott India Ltd jumped 10.63% in last one year as compared to a 19.87% rally in NIFTY and a 16.09% spurt in the Nifty Pharma index.

The PE of the stock is 47.85 based on TTM earnings ending December 21.
