Alphabet's revenue growth slows down

Google’s parent company, Alphabet, has posted weaker-than-anticipated earnings and sales for the period from April to June (Q2). The company’s search business experienced strong growth. Compared to the same quarter last year, revenue growth dropped to 13% from 62%. Revenues for the quarter increased 13% to $69.7 billion, according to the business.
According to Pichai, the business will keep making long-term, responsible investments in deep computer science. Travel and retail inquiries helped Google’s Search and Other income increase to $40.69 billion from $35.85 billion the previous year, according to the firm.
Google Cloud generated $6.28 billion in revenue vs an expectation of $6.41 billion, while YouTube advertising revenue came in at $7.34 billion versus $7.52 billion. Alphabet reported a 21% increase in personnel to 174,014 full-time employees.
