Another day in red for Indian equity markets

Indian equity markets saw another day in red today. Nifty 50 closed, down by 111 points. Sensex closed, down by 337.66 points. Top Gainers today were Titan, BPCL and L&T. Top Losers today were Adani Enterprises, Adani Ports and M&M. 

All the broader market indices ended the day in red. Selling pressure was once again seen in small cap and mid cap stocks. Selling pressure was also seen in IT stocks, Metal stocks, PSU bank stocks and Realty stocks. IT stocks saw selling pressure due to increase of economic risk in US. This risk has increased because of the failure of two banks there. 

Yes Bank, BCG and Idea were the most traded stocks today at NSE, in terms of volume. HDFC Bank, Kotak Bank and Adani Enterprises were the most traded stocks in terms of value. 17 stocks touched new 52-week high, today at NSE. 235 stocks touched new 52-week low. Market breadth was negative.
