Ashok Leyland Limited Monday reported a 45% jump in total commercial vehicle sales to 18,138 units in December 2022. The Hinduja flagship firm had sold 12,518 units in the same month in 2020, Ashok Leyland said in a filing on Monday.
Domestic sales grew 49% at 17,112 units in the month under review, as against 11,493 units in December 2021, it added.
Meanwhile, medium and heavy commercial vehicle (M&HCV) sales grew 61% at 12,262 compared to 7,619 in December 2021. In the domestic market M&HCV sales were up 69% at 11,399 units last month compared to 6,752 units in the year-ago month.
Light commercial vehicle (LCV) sales stood at 5,876 units last month compared to 4,899 units in December 2021, up 20%.
The company stock was bullish on Monday and at around 11:39 AM, Ashok Leyland Ltd is currently trading at Rs147.20 per share up by Rs3.80 or 2.35% from its previous closing of Rs143.40 per share on the BSE.
