Consolidated net sales (including other operating income) of Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals for the quarter ended June 2022 has increased 77.34% to Rs 1862.94 crore. Sales of electric consumer durables segment has gone up 52.33% to Rs 1,347.18 crore (accounting for 83.78% of total sales). Sales of lighting products segment has gone up 61.29% to Rs 260.87 crore (accounting for 16.22% of total sales). Profit before interest, tax and other unallocable items (PBIT) has jumped 46.34% to Rs 251.64 crore. PBIT of electric consumer durables segment rose 46.70% to Rs 228.53 crore (accounting for 90.82% of total PBIT). PBIT of lighting products segment rose 42.92% to Rs 23.11 crore (accounting for 9.18% of total PBIT). PBIT margin of electric consumer durables segment fell from 17.61% to 16.96%. PBIT margin of lighting products segment fell from 10.00% to 8.86%. Overall PBIT margin fell from 16.44% to 15.65%. Operating profit margin has declined from 11.90% to 11.81%, leading to 75.88% rise in operating profit to Rs 219.92 crore. Raw material cost as a % of total sales (net of stock adjustments) increased from 19.76% to 27.14%. Purchase of finished goods cost fell from 48.49% to 43.92%. Employee cost decreased from 8.27% to 7.10%. Other expenses fell from 11.80% to 10.96%. Other income fell 46.89% to Rs 10.41 crore. PBIDT rose 59.24% to Rs 230.33 crore. Provision for interest rose 123.54% to Rs 22.51 crore. PBDT rose 54.43% to Rs 207.82 crore. Provision for depreciation rose 264.07% to Rs 27.56 crore. Profit before tax grew 41.94% to Rs 180.26 crore. Share of profit/loss were nil in both the periods. Provision for tax was expense of Rs 47.92 crore, compared to Rs 32.24 crore. Effective tax rate was 27.56% compared to 25.39%.Minority interest was nil in both the periods. Net profit attributable to owners of the company increased 27.70% to Rs 121.01 crore. Promoters stake was 5.94% as of 30 June 2022 ,compared to 5.99% as of 30 June 2021 .
