DCB Bank jumps after Q4 PAT climbs 46% YoY

Profit before tax (PBT) rose 47% year-on-year to Rs 153.24 crore in Q4 March 2022. The operating profit for Q4 FY 2022 was Rs 220.84 crore as against Rs 201.08 crore for Q4 FY 2021, up 9.83% YoY. The bank earned net interest income of Rs 380 crore for Q4 FY 2022 as against Rs 311 crore for Q4 FY 2021. In Q4 FY 2022, Net Interest Margin (NIM) was at 3.93% as against 3.46% in Q4 FY 2021. The banks provisions and contingencies (excluding tax provisions) fell 30.35% to Rs 67.60 crore in Q4 FY22 over Q4 FY21. The Provision Coverage Ratio (PCR) as on 31 March 2022 was at 67.84% and PCR without considering gold loans NPAs was at 72.49%. On a standalone basis, the banks net profit fell 14.38% to Rs 287.50 crore on 1.56% increase in total income to Rs 3,964.81 crore in the year ended March 2022 over the year ended March 2021. The banks gross non-performing assets (NPAs) stood at Rs 1,289.93 crore as on 31 March 2021 as against Rs 1,339.75 crore as on 31 December 2021 and Rs 1,083.44 crore as on 31 March 2020. The ratio of gross NPAs to gross advances stood at 4.32% as on 31 March 2021 as against 4.78% as on 31 December 2021 and 4.13% as on 31 March 2020. The ratio of net NPAs to net advances stood at 1.97% as on 31 March 2021 as against 2.55% as on 31 December 2021 and 2.31% as on 31 March 2020. The bank has been steadily growing the retail term deposits (less than Rs 2 crores) and reducing bulk deposits. As on 31 March 2022, the top 20 deposits ratio was at 6.31%. In FY 2022, the bank achieved CASA growth of 37% over the previous year. CASA ratio was at 26.75% as on 31 March 2022, as against 22.85% as on 31 March 2021. As on 31 March 2022, net advances was at Rs 29,096 crore. A 13% growth as compared to the previous year. In Q4 FY 2022, the bank disbursed Rs 5,043 crore. Murali M. Business volumes are increasing, and our intention is to build further momentum while utilizing the increased frontline capacity.
