Genesys International, Bentley collaborate to provide 3D mapping capabilities; stock spurts ~4%

29 Sep 2022 , 09:27 AM

Bentley Systems and Genesys International announced that Genesys’ 3D City Digital Twin Solution for Urban India, the first city digital twin project launched by any Indian company, will be powered by OpenCities 365, Bentley’s infrastructure digital twin solution for cities and campuses.

Previously, Genesys collaborated with Bentley to successfully pilot an earlier digital twin solution that provided smart inventory management of telecom infrastructure using Bentley’s OpenTower iQ software.

The reliable solution supplied operators with precise and up-to-date information on designing and erecting 5G towers, saving time and money on labor-intensive tower inspections.

Once each city’s 3D digital twin is complete, engineering and application data layers can be added based on end-user needs. Local governments will be able to improve public services such as urban governance, disaster management, emergency response, and tourism by using these 3D city digital twins.

Genesys benefits from Bentley apps’ openness even more since the software can interact with other asset management systems, such as third-party geographic information systems, to record and read data.

At around 9.23 AM, Genesys International was trading 3.88% higher at Rs540.25, against previous close of Rs520.05 on NSE. The scrip opened at Rs546.05 and touched intraday high of Rs546.06 so far.
