Indian stock markets in green

On Tuesday, Indian benchmark indices showed a positive trend, rebounding from earlier lows. The Sensex saw an increase of 63.88 points, marking a rise of 0.09%, reaching 74,069. Similarly, the Nifty experienced an uptick of 77.0047 points, or 0.21%, reaching 22,548.

Market dynamics showed 1,441 shares advancing, 1,998 shares declining, and 133 shares remaining unchanged. Notably, the Metal index emerged as the top gainer among sectoral indices, surging by more than 3%. Following closely was the PSU Bank index, which exhibited a rise of 1.20%.

However, sectors such as FMCG and IT experienced declines, acting as drags on the market. In the broader market, the BSE SmallCap index observed a slight decline of 0.18%, while the BSE MidCap index showed a modest increase of 0.23%.

Among the Nifty 50 stocks, half of them were in negative territory during the trading session. Top decliners in the Nifty 50 included Nestle India, TCS, SBI Life, HCL Tech, and HDFC Life. Conversely, leading gainers on the Nifty 50 comprised Coal India, Hindalco Industries, Tata Steel, JSW Steel, and Adani Ports and SEZ.

In the BSE Sensex, 15 out of 30 stocks recorded gains. Notable gainers on the BSE Sensex were Tata Steel, JSW Steel, Power Grid Corp., NTPC, and Asian Paints. On the other hand, top decliners on the BSE Sensex encompassed Nestle India, TCS, HCLTech, Infosys, and UltraTech Cement.
