On Wednesday, Inox Leisure Ltd, a multiplex chain operator, declared a consolidated net profit of Rs57.09 crore for the quarter ended in June, driven by increasing attendance at movie theatres. In the months of April and June of the previous year, the business reported a net loss of Rs122.28 crore, according to Inox Leisure’s BSE filing.
In comparison to the low base of the corresponding quarter the year prior, when the movie exhibition sector was negatively damaged by the second wave of the COVID-19 epidemic the company generated Rs582.26 crore in revenue from operations during the quarter under review.
The April through June quarter of the previous fiscal year saw Inox Leisure generate Rs22.31 crore in operating revenue. At Rs513.01 crore, total costs increased by two times. In addition to reporting its “highest ever quarterly sales,” Inox also declared its “highest ever EBITDA and profit after tax.” Inox Leisure Ltd. shares closed at Rs. 602.65 on Wednesday, up 0.76 % from the previous closing.
