Mphasis Ltd Q2FY23 PAT up 22.6% at Rs418.46 crore on BFSI and TMT vertical boost to operating profits

Mphasis Ltd reported 22.67% growth in total revenues for the September 2022 quarter on consolidated basis at Rs3,520cr.

Revenue growth was 3.18% in sequential terms. In constant currency terms, the revenue growth was 16.8% yoy and 1.8% sequentially.

In Q2FY23, the new TCV wins were worth $302 million of which 81% referred to new generation services.

Its cloud and cognitive businesses continued to drive the growth of top line and operating profits across various verticals. There was a sharp spike in the employee costs in quarter.

Consolidated Profit after tax (PAT) for September 2022 quarter was up 22.55% at Rs418.46cr and it was 4.13% higher on sequential basis.

The profits grew sharply across the BFSI (banking, financial services, Insurance) and the TMT (telecom, media, technology) verticals, while the logistics and transportation vertical saw the operating profits lagging in the quarter.

For FY22, final dividend is proposed at Rs46 per share. Net profit margins at 11.89% in Q2FY23 were flat compared to 11.90% in Q1FY22 and against 11.78% in Q2FY23.
