Profit before tax in Q4 FY22 stood at Rs 984.38 crore, up by 15% from Rs 856.12 crore in Q4 FY21. Petronet LNG said that during the quarter ended 31 March 2022 (current quarter), Dahej terminal processed 178 trillion British thermal units (TBTU) of LNG as against 196 TBTU processed during the previous quarter ended 31 December 2021 and 204 TBTU processed during the corresponding quarter ended 31 March 2021. The overall LNG volume processed by the company in the current quarter was 190 TBTU, as against the LNG volume processed in the previous and corresponding quarters, which stood at 208 TBTU and 218 TBTU, respectively. The company recorded 13.7% increase in standalone net profit to Rs 3,352.35 crore on a 65.9% rise in net sales to Rs 43,168.57 crore in FY22 over FY21. The company achieved a throughput of 847 TBTU in FY 2021-22, as against the throughput of 896 TBTU in FY 2020-21. The board of directors of the company has approved a final dividend of Rs 4.50 per share. Petronet LNG was formed as a joint venture by the Government of India to import liquefied natural gas (LNG) and set up LNG terminals in the country, involving Indias leading oil and natural gas industry players like GAIL (India), Oil & Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC), Indian Oil Corporation (IOCL) and Bharat Petroleum Corporation (BPCL).
