Reliance Retail launched Tira, an online beauty platform, escalating competition in the rapidly growing beauty e-commerce space, which is led by Nykaa, new entrant Tata CLiQ Palette, and others such as Sephora, SS Beauty by Shopper’s Stop, and Myntra.
The platform, which includes makeup, skin and haircare, fragrances, bathing, men’s beauty and luxury sections, and Valentine’s section, is initially available to all Reliance employees and will soon be available to consumers.
“The platform has a dedicated luxury section that competes directly with Nykaa Luxe,’ said an executive with first-hand knowledge of the details. According to insiders, Tira is the go-to destination for those seeking exclusive skincare lines or popular makeup brands favored by industry experts.

According to executives familiar with the plans, Tira, which Reliance intends to scale up with a vast collection of mass, premium, and luxury labels, as well as its own private labels, is also pursuing an omnichannel retail strategy, with a focus on both online and physical stores.
