TCS iON launches Industry-Led Skilling programs in partnership with NTTF

Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. (TCS) announced that its strategic arm “TCS iON” joined hands with Nettur Technical Training Foundation (NTTF), a premier technical and vocational education and training institute to launch high-demand skill development programs across sectors. It shall cover areas such as automation. Robotics, manufacturing, and electronics in a unique phygital model developed by TCS iON.

The two shall offer 3 diploma and 12 certification courses to skill and upskill over 60,000 youngsters in the country and prepare them for jobs to cater to current and future industry requirements. These learning programs will bridge the skills gap as it is curated specifically in line with recent academic reforms and industry-based standards.

Enrolled candidates will have the freedom to learn anytime, and anywhere under the guidance of best-in-class trainers from the industry and the co-sponsor NTTF.

This model will combine hands-on project work and multimodal digital learning resources. NTTF will be responsible for delivering live online lectures. Existing students and alumni of various ITI, skill development institutes, and polytechnics across the country can avail themselves of these programs.

Venguswamy Ramaswamy, Global Head, TCS iON, said, “The Indian electronics manufacturing service industry is expected to grow over six times from $23.5 billion to reach $152 billion by 2025. To realize this growth, the country requires its youth to acquire vocational skills in addition to core education. The TCS iON and NTTF partnership are in line with the National Education Policy 2020, aimed to make the future workforce skilled and equipped to pursue exciting career opportunities in emerging industries.”

TCS is currently trading at Rs3,822.70 up by Rs5 or 0.13% from its previous closing of Rs3,817.70 on the BSE. The scrip opened at Rs3,852 and has touched an intraday high and low of Rs3,856 and Rs3,805.90 respectively.
