One 97 Communications: Paytm says it had worked with Axis Bank to settle merchant payments. According to the company’s press statement, One97 Communications has transferred its nodal account to Axis Bank via an escrow account that it has formed with them. One97 Communications, the parent company of Paytm, Paytm QR, Soundbox, and card machines, will continue to provide a smooth experience for all merchant partners.
Life Insurance Corporation of India: The Corporation had received reimbursement orders for the assessment yea₹2012-13, 2013-14, 2014-15, 2016-17, 2017-18, 2018-19, and 2019-20. The total amount of reimbursement was ₹25,464.46 Crore. In this respect, the Income Tax Department issued ₹21,740.77 Crore on February 15. The corporation is currently pursuing the balance with the Income Tax Department.
Tata Power: The Tata Group firm has obtained a Letter of Intent (LOI) from REC Power Development and Consultancy, a wholly-owned subsidiary of REC, to purchase Jalpura Khurja Power Transmission, a project special purpose vehicle (SPV). The Jalpura Khurja Power Transmission Project would be constructed on a build-own-operate basis, providing transmission service for 35 years.
SJVN, Suzlon Energy: In its semi-annual review, the index provider has decided to include sixteen stocks in its FTSE All-World Index: Fertilisers & Chemicals Travancore, Jindal Stainless, Kalyan Jewellers, KPIT Technologies, Mazagon Dock, Metro Brands, New India Assurance, NLC India, Phoenix Mills, Poonawalla Fincorp, Prestige Estates, RVNL, SJVN, Sundaram Finance, Suzlon Energy, and Thermax. These modifications are scheduled to go into effect on March 15, 2024.
PB Fintech: The Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI) has granted in-principle approval to Policybazaar Insurance Brokers (Policybazaar), the company’s wholly-owned subsidiary, to upgrade its license from Direct Insurance Broker (Life & General) to Composite Insurance Broker.
Bajaj Auto: The buyback committee, appointed by the Board of Directors, has set February 29 as the record date for assessing entitlement and the names of equity owners eligible to participate in the repurchase. On January 8, the board accepted a proposal for the repurchase of up to 40 lakh shares at a price of ₹10,000 per share, totaling ₹4,000 Crore.
Larsen & Toubro: L&T Realty Developers, a wholly owned subsidiary of the corporation, has established LH Uttarayan Premium Realty, a wholly-owned subsidiary.
Titagarh Rail Systems: The Ministry of Defence has placed an order with the firm for 250 specialized waggons. The total order value is ₹170 Crore. The contract’s execution is expected to begin 12 months after it is signed and will last 36 months.
Equitas Small Finance Bank: The small finance bank confirmed its formal banking agreement with the Chennai Super Kings. As part of this collaboration, the Chennai Super Kings will wear the Equitas Small Finance Bank emblem on their helmets.
CRISIL: The rating agency’s total net profit increased 33% year-on-year to ₹210.1 Crore in October-December 2024, owing to strong operating results. Revenue from operations increased by 11.6% year on year to ₹917.7 Crore in the quarter.
