Telecom stocks were trading with gains, with the S&P BSE Telecom index increasing 24.41 points or 1.5% at 1653.09 at 09:46 IST.

Consumer goods stocks were trading in green, with the S&P BSE Consumer Discretionary Goods & Services index rising 70.24 points or 1.22% at 5817 at 09:46 IST.

Auto stocks were trading in the positive zone, with the S&P BSE Auto index rising 860.74 points or 3% at 29589.38 at 09:46 IST.

Bajaj Auto recorded total sales of 3,54,670 units in July 2022, which is lower by 4% as compared with 3,69,116 units sold in July 2021.
