Indian equity markets end another volatile day

Indian equity markets saw another volatile day today. Selling pressure increased in last one hour of the day. Nifty 50 ended, up by 40.65 points. Sensex ended, up by 126.76 points. Top Gainers today were Grasim, Reliance, Cipla. Top Losers today were Adani Ports, SBI Life, Power Grid. 

Selling pressure was seen in some small-cap and micro-cap stocks. Buying demand was seen in some healthcare and pharma stocks. Yes Bank, SJVN, and Idea were the most traded stocks today at NSE, in terms of volume. HDFC Bank, Reliance and ICICI Bank were the most traded stocks today in terms of value.

23 stocks touched new 52-week high today at NSE. 412 stocks touched new 52-week low. Market breadth was highly negative. More stocks declined than increased.
