T-Hub signs MOU with Uber to take Indian startups to Silicon Valley through UberEXCHANGE

UberEXCHANGE is a global mentorship program undertaken by Uber with a focus to advance the start-up ecosystem in the country and around the world.

T-Hub, the largest and fastest growing incubator for start-ups, today signed an MOU with Uber, the smartphone app that connects riders with drivers at the push of a button, to leverage its expertise to shortlist the top 20 start-ups in India to be part of the unique UberEXCHANGE program. UberEXCHANGE is a global mentorship program undertaken by Uber with a focus to advance the start-up ecosystem in the country and around the world.

“We are committed to providing a conducive environment for nurturing start-ups through T-Hub. Our mission is to provide a platform for exchange of knowledge and ideas between start-ups in India and the Silicon Valley. UberEXCHANGE is one such contribution in this regard and the mentorship program will be extremely valuable to Indian entrepreneurs,” says Shri Jayesh Ranjan

As part of this MoU, T-Hub will leverage its expertise in shortlisting twenty start-ups through both Uber and T-Hub’s existing network. T-Hub will invite start-ups across India to apply for the UberEXCHANGE programme through an online application process and shall make best efforts to ensure participation and representation from across the country.

This MOU was signed on the sidelines of Slush Global Impact Accelerator (GIA) event for start-ups, which is currently running at T-Hub. After an intense search about 13 start-ups were finalized to pitch at SLUSH. These participants from promising social impact start-ups received guidance and mentorship from Eric Alexander under the UberExchange program on critical issues of funding, marketing, operations, finance and technology at the event.
