Government has not taken care of co-operative banks

Bank employees are disappointed from the Budget 2013-14. There is no increase in income tax exemption for salary class.

Finance Minister has not mentioned about the regional rural bank and co-operative banks. Therefore RRB employees hopes have been dashed down.

FM announced Indias first Womens bank. Earlier banks were having womens branches but due to security reasons banks closed the same. We are unable to understand the need of the Womens Bank.

Government has not taken care of co-operative banks. NOBW (National Organisation of Bank Workers) demanded that there should be a separate Ministry to look into the large co-operative sector including state, urban, district co-operative banks and co-operative societies which presently comes under the Agriculture Ministry, whereas Agriculture Ministry has no way concerned with the co-operative banks.

Regarding reconstitution of Banking Service Recruitment Board (BSRB) also not considered for the recruitment in the banks.

FM is concerned for the National Health Policy but Bank employees are deprived from the uniform health scheme. NOBW suggested for CGHS facilities to be extended to the working and retired bank employees.
