Aether Industries inaugurates new R-;D centre in Surat

Aether Industries Limited has opened a new R&D facility in Surat, Gujarat. The centre will assist to meet the rising demand in the CRAMS business areas and will support efforts to increase the efficiency of existing products.

Aether Industries’ newest R&D centre will also enable innovation for the company’s ever-expanding internal product pipeline to support its Large-Scale Manufacturing business model. The new R&D centre is accompanied by the world’s biggest pilot plant, which includes more than 100 reactors and a plethora of other downstream equipment.

The facility will feature seven synthetic labs and 55 German-made fume hoods, allowing the company to undertake 110 reactions every day. Each of the fume hoods has automation to regulate many experiment-related parameters, allowing for the greatest levels of safety. The R&D centre also has a specialised quality control and assurance lab.

The DCS automation system is also included in the pilot plant, allowing the company to test goods at various scales, ranging from a few grams to several kilos to several MTs, employing various sophisticated technologies such as continuous reactions and high-pressure reactions.

The firm has committed roughly Rs33 crore to remodel and triple the capacity of the R&D centre in order to assist the company’s development into new markets through new and creative products and processes for international projects.

The number of staff at the R&D centre has likewise increased, from 164 in March 2022 to 193 as of September 30, 2022.

At around 11.25 AM, Aether Industries was trading 1.38% lower at Rs950.45 per piece, against previous close of Rs963.75 on NSE. The counter hit an intraday high and low of Rs972 and Rs940.55 respectively.
