Airtel launches 5G Plus in eight cities

7 Oct 2022 , 12:11 PM

The old Airtel 4G SIM is now 5G-enabled, so consumers won't need to switch SIM cards after Bharti Airtel introduced 5G plus services in eight locations on Thursday. Customers in Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Siliguri, Nagpur, and Varanasi will begin using Airtel 5G Plus services in phases as the firm builds up its network and completes the rollout, according to the business.
The firm guarantees phone connect times that are 20 to 30 times faster than the existing speed, in addition to fantastic sound quality. Customers with 5G devices may utilize the fast Airtel 5G Plus on their current data plans while waiting for the rollout to be broader.
"Any 5G phone will be able to use our solution, together with the consumers' current SIM cards. A 5G solution that is more environmentally friendly has now been added to our passion for improving customer experience "Gopal Vittal, the CEO and Managing Director of Bharti Airtel, stated.
For years to come, Vittal continued, "Airtel 5G Plus is all set to transform how people communicate, live, work, connect, and play." The technology that underpins Airtel 5G Plus has the most global adoption and the most advanced ecosystem.

As a result, all 5G devices in India will operate flawlessly on the Airtel network. High-definition video streaming, gaming, multi-chat, quick photo uploading, and other activities will all be possible with Airtel 5G Plus' speedy connection. At the nation's formal 5G launch last week, Bharti Airtel presented Prime Minister Narendra Modi with a 5G-connected ambulance that would revolutionize emergency primary health care as well as smart farming solutions.
