Ashok Leyland skids 5% post weak Q3FY22 numbers

Shares of Ashok Leyland Ltd. dipped in Monday trading session on the BSE. 

The stock is currently trading at Rs126.65 down by Rs6.3 or 4.74% from its previous closing of Rs132.95 on the BSE. The scrip opened at Rs126.90 and has touched a high and low of Rs129.05 and Rs124.80 respectively

The company’s standalone revenue gained 15 per cent year-on-year to Rs 5,535 crore mainly due to higher prices and better sales.

It reported an EBITDA of Rs223 crore for Q3FY22 which reflected a decline of 12% yoy. EBITDA margin narrowed to 4% by 124 bps.

On the consolidated front, the company reported a loss of Rs108 crore as against a profit of Rs38 crore for the previous corresponding quarter.

Its consolidated revenue registered a growth of 12% yoy at Rs6,660 crore.

The company reported a 12% decline in EBITDA at Rs658 crore. While, EBITDA margin narrowed to 9.9% shedding 267 bps.
