Air India SATS Airport Services Private Limited (AISATS) inaugurated the AISATS BLR Logistics Park on April 22, 2025, at Kempegowda International Airport, Bengaluru. The park was developed with an investment of ₹200 crore and spans 8 acres, emerging as one of the biggest on-airport logistics parks in South India.
A.SATS is a.50:50 joint venture between Air India, which is a Tata Group company, and SATS Ltd, which.is a Singaporean ground-handling and in-flight catering service provider.
The logistics park has a two-storey main warehouse offering over 240,000 square feet of Grade A space to freight forwarders, express courier operators, and third-party logistics companies. It also comprises a 11,000 square feet public bonded warehouse for importers and Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs).
A 24,000 square feet office building is also included within the park offering specific accommodation for customs house agents and other support logistics providers.
Shared general warehouse space and cold storage space are made available on a pay-per-use basis that is affordable and flexible for operations. AISATS also initiated its own trucking services to facilitate convenient transfer of cargo between the logistics park and the airport cargo terminals.
The complex boasts sustainable infrastructure elements such as rainwater harvesting systems, natural lighting, LED installations, and solid waste management practices.
The park is located within the Bengaluru International Airport, India’s third busiest airport and which facilitates about 40% of South India’s air cargo volume. The logistics park will go a long way in helping Bengaluru Airport achieve its vision of processing 1 million metric tonnes of cargo annually by 2030.
In FY25, the airport serviced its all-time highest cargo tonnage of 502,480 metric tonnes, reflecting growing demand for air freight services in the region. AISATS Chairman Nipun Aggarwal stated that the park is a milestone in India’s infrastructure journey and will further cement Karnataka as a leading logistics hub.
SATS APAC Gateway Services CEO Bob Chi referred to the park’s capacity to boost Bengaluru’s cargo handling capacity and drive global trade efficiency. AISATS CEO Ramanathan Rajamani emphasized that the center is a reflection of the company’s commitment to building a contemporary, technology-integrated logistics ecosystem.
BIAL MD & CEO Hari Marar said that the logistics park would be a strategic addition to Bengaluru’s cargo infrastructure and help it realize its vision to be a globally connected logistics hub.
AISATS, from its inception in 2008, has been providing end-to-end ground and cargo handling operations at six major Indian airports and has around 15,900 employees currently.
The new Bengaluru logistics park is complementing AISATS’ future multi-modal cargo terminal at Noida and is also a part of its overall plan to develop a sustainable, high-technology logistics network across India.
