Bacardi India appoints Vinay Golikeri as MD for Indian and neighbouring operations

Vinay Golikeri has been named Managing Director of Bacardi India. Golikeri replaces Sanjit Randhawa, who will relocate to Dubai, UAE, to take up the post of Director, External Affairs, Asia Middle East & Africa, and Global Travel Retail after nearly five years as Managing Director, India.

Both roles will be effective from January 2023.

Golikeri will be the head of the India Leadership Team and will be reportable to Vijay Subramaniam, Regional President, Asia, Middle East, Africa, and Global Travel Retail.

Golikeri has been associated with Bacardi since 2003 and has extensive experience in the Indian market. He began his career in India, overseeing the rum category, and progressed through global responsibilities in London before taking on marketing and commercial leadership duties in GTR for Hong Kong, followed by Asia, the Middle East, and Africa.

Golikeri was most recently the Managing Director, Global Travel Retail, located in Dubai.

During his tenure, he was instrumental in transforming GTR into a critical brand-building and commercial channel for the portfolio, producing solid strategies to create equity with emerging market passengers.

Randhawa has extensive expertise in external affairs in India and Southeast Asia, where he served on the boards of several organisations, including the International Spirits and Wines Association of India (ISWAI) and the Thai Alcohol Beverage Business Association (TABBA).
