BEML Limited, a PSU company, which is India’s defence and infrastructure sector, posted 12% rise in net profit at ₹287.55 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2025.
The company’s revenue from operations increased 9% to ₹1,652.53 crore from ₹1,513.65 crore in the year-ago period. Total expenditure for Q4FY25 was at ₹1,261.37 crore, up 9% as against ₹1,170.57 crore in Q4FY24.
EBITDA was at ₹427 crore as against ₹375 crore in the same quarter last fiscal, which showed efficient operational performance. Company’s EBITDA Margin increased to 13.20% compared to 11.98% in the same period of the previous year, showing better cost control and profitability.
For the full FY25, BEML notched its highest annual net profit at ₹294 crore, up 4% YoY (against ₹283 crore in FY24), even when annual revenue marginally fell to ₹4,022 crore from ₹4,054 crore.
The company’s order book as on March end 2025 was at ₹14,610 crore with an executable order book of ₹4,233 crore for the current year, indicating a strong pipeline of projects.
The Board of Directors of BEML had postponed the announcement of the final dividend for FY25 but had already declared a second interim dividend of ₹15 per share and set May 15 as the record date.
The company is also increasing its manufacturing footprint, with land acquired in Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh for setting-up new plants for its Rail & Metro and Mining & Construction businesses, in line with the country’s self-reliance movement. “BEML remains committed to operational excellence and innovative approach that enables them for strong growth in defence, metro rail, aerospace and electric mining equipment business,” they said.
