Colgate-Palmolive India Q4 Net Profit Drops 6.5% YoY to ₹355 Crore

Colgate-Palmolive (India) Ltd has registered a consolidated net profit of ₹355 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2025, showing a year-on-year decline of 6.5% from ₹379.8 crore in the same quarter last year. Revenue for the March quarter was at ₹1,462.5 crore, 1.9% lower than ₹1,490 crore in the same period last year.

An EBITDA of ₹498 crore at Q4 FY25 shrank by 6.4% over ₹532.2 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. EBITDA margin for the quarter, had reduced to 34%, compared to 35.7% in Q4 FY24.

Colgate-Palmolive reported full year ended March 31, 2025 (FY25) net sales of ₹5,999 crore in its entirety, up 6.3% from ₹5,644 crore during FY24. Net profit for the full year grew 8.5% to ₹1,437 crore, indicating steady annual growth even in the face of quarterly headwinds. The Company’s domestic revenue was up 5.6% for the fiscal year 2025.

The Company’s Board of Directors has declared a second interim dividend at ₹27 per share resulting in total dividend of ₹51 per share for FY25. The total dividend of ₹734 crores will be paid on or after June 16, 2025, to shareholders of record date May 28, 2025.

CEO and managing director Prabha Narasimhan accepted the difficult macroeconomic environment in the second half of the year, which faced headwinds from slower urban demand and growing competition. She also stressed that the company is committed to delivering on its strategic priorities and will reinvest in its growth in the near term with its “Funding the Growth” cost savings effort. Despite near-term economic challenges, executives reaffirmed their long-term focus on profitability, brand position and operational efficiency.
