GNFC Q4 Profit Surges 65% YoY to ₹210 Crore

Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers & Chemicals Ltd (GNFC) said it has posted robust financial results for the fourth quarter concluded March 2025, with a 65.4% year-on-year increase in net profit at ₹210 crore against ₹127 crore for the same period last year. The company reported a 65.5% YoY EBITDA growth, to ₹240 crore for Q4 FY25 as opposed to ₹145 crore in Q4FY24.

In the March 2025 quarter, EBITDA margin soared to 11.7% from 6.9% a year ago, an indication that operational efficiency has improved and input costs are under control. Its operating revenue in the quarter also stayed nearly flat at ₹2,055 crore as against ₹2,110 crore in Q4 FY24, indicating a muted performance at the topline.

Profitability  increased under adverse revenue conditions by ACT better margin management and cost reduction initiatives. GNFC Bottom-line surge was on back of Better performance in core chemical and fertilizer and higher realisation and controlled O&M cost.

The company is one of the top Indian producers of fertilizers and industrial chemicals, operating from two locations Bharuch in Gujarat and Chennai in Tamil Nadu, promoted by the Government of Gujarat; the Government of India; Government of Telangana and the Government of Andhra Pradesh.

It offers various products, such as urea, nitrophosphate, neem-based agro products and industrial products, such as methanol, formic acid, nitric acid and acetic acid. GNFC, established in 1976, is an integral pillar in India’s agri-inputs and industrial chemicals industry with vertically integrated operations and a strong footprint in the national supply chain.
